CINETS 2026 conference announced at Leiden Law School
The seventh bi-annual CINETS conference will explore crimmigration in an age of authoritarian drift, hosted in Leiden with Border Criminologies.
November 1, 2025CINETS returns to Leiden Law School in July 2026 for its seventh bi-annual conference, organised in collaboration with Border Criminologies and the Van Vollenhoven Institute.
The theme — Crimmigration in an Age of Authoritarian Drift — examines punitive migration control amid democratic erosion, racialised exclusion, and digital surveillance.
Researchers, practitioners, and artists are invited to follow conference updates as the programme is finalised.
